‘I’m Going Silent this Halloween with Nokia XpressMusic‘

When I saw the word Halloween, my mind was already racing. And to put Halloween with Nokia XpressMusic, I wanted jump up and down like a naughty monkey from excitement. The most interesting bit is that Halloween would be silent this party around.

How can you have a party with no music or sound or dancing? Now, that’s not called a party, it’s a bunch of people overdressed for the library you say. But fear not coz the Nokia XpressMusic comes to the rescue. What has a handphone got to do with a Halloween party – everything!

The Nokia XpressMusic has tons of radio with one supporting European and Asian 3G networks, and another supporting North American 3G networks. Both versions also include Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo support, Wi-Fi, and a GPS. The mobile phone also allows media playback superbly. It comes along with a full 3.5-mm headset jack so it can be used with most stereo headphones. The high-quality stereo speakers can play quite loud which suits me really well coz I believe music (well, at least the genres I love) are best appreciated when heard loudly. I would be going "Please Don't Stop the Music!!" Yippee!

Not enough with the music, you can capture all your happy moments via the 3.2 megapixel camera which includes a Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus, and dual-LED flash. If you find still pictures boring, try catching a candid video which can be recorded at 30 frames per second. So we camwhores can bob to music while saying *cheese*.

I can’t wait for the silent Halloween party because with Nokia’s XpressMusic, nothing is really silent afterall. For more information, mousey *here*

Nuffnang's Wild "Live" Party

“Animals” of all nature were seen walking around like you and me in Modestos last Saturday. You can hear Roars, Mooos and Meows all over the place. The situation was however rather controlled as all animals were well behaved and well fed. What actually happened that day? Oh, you haven’t heard? Where have you been all this while? It was Nuffnang’s Wild “Live” Blogging party powered by Maxis Broadband you silly. *laughs*
Anyhow, here’s Clair the peacock reporting back to the animal kingdom after a lovely night out with the mortal beings. Wussy the Pussy couldn’t make it as he was sent on another secret mission elsewhere. I would say my mission went successfully. Never once was I mistaken for an actual animal. The peacock outfit worked beautifully. I have to thank Ah Tes for the magnificent work. *hugs*
Now, let’s get the show rolling.

Made of Honour Gala Night & Exclusive Premier

I had a most amazing night yesterday at the exclusive premier of Made of Honour courtesy of Hong Leong Bank. It was at the glitzy JW Marriot where the uber-ness of the place speaks for itself. Food was good and the company excellent. You cant get any better with the whole gang (Ah Kie, Ah Sha & Ah Tes) decked out in our finest for the evening. Free flow of drinks and what we mistook as champagne (turned out it was sparking juice which was deliciously sweet with strawberries) and loads of camwhoring.

Seeing it is also my first Nuffnang party, it was exciting to see the bloggers whom I follow their blogs in person. Linora was a bubbly as i kinda expected her to be. Garreth is extremely tall, gosh I love his height. Saw loads of others like KY, Fireangel, Kinky Blue Fairy, Ringo and the list is endless. Everyone who is anyone in the blogsphere was there so you get the idea yeah.

Well, now ill leave you with pictures to do the rest of the talking. If a picture paints a thousand words, these are worth a novel. *laughs*

Oh, you know what else was super awesome; Ah Kie and I won Best Dressed Couple!!!
Ah Kie and I accepting our pressies for Best Dressed Couple
"The Couple"

The conversation below is simply hilarious when Kimberly walked up to us at the end of the night.

Kim: Congrats on winning the Best Dressed Couple. Hey, are you guys dating? (looking at Ah Kie and me)

Ah Kie: Define dating

Kim: Eermm, you know, like seeing one another.

At this point, I couldn’t control my laughter anymore.

Garreth aka Shaolin Tiger: Well Kim, Ah Kie blogs at Queer Rant

Kim: Huh, what??

Garreth: Queer Rant

Kim: Oh F**k!!

All the money in the world cannot take away the shock on Kim’s face. And Ah Kie, yeah, we’re both spoiling each others chances of you-know-what if people think we’re dating. So yes, Ah Kie and I are friends. Ah Kie, we shall leave out the course-mate story huh.

We wore Ah Tes’ batik design which were simply lovely. The amount of attention garnered was unbelievable. Ah Tes was absolutely cool bout me walking (without lifting the skirt up) when we crossed the Bukit Bintang street over to Pavilion for the movie. Imagine all the stares we got when patrons see a stream of people all beautifully dressed walking around. In the case of Ah Kie and I, adorned in designer wear. Don’t play-play people.

All in all, it was a night to remember. Thank you so much Ah Kie dear for getting me into taking part in the fishing competition, I would have completely regretted it otherwise. A special mention to Ah Tes for dressing me up. I love love love the skirt!

Roaring My Way to Nuffnang Wild ‘Live’ Blogging

Meow there. If you have been following Ohkulala’s posts, I’m sure you notice something not right from the very first word. Yes, I’ve have hijacked her blog, stole access to her sister’s brand new laptop and embezzled her username and password to get my 2 minutes of fame. Meooowww

I’m a cat and cats need a lot of attention ok. But I figured I’m tired of the real world so why not try getting some attention here in the virtual world. Pretty damn smart for a cat don’t you think so?

Oh, let me introduce myself. I’m a Pussy called Wussy. Yeah, my owner is pretty cheesy when it came to names. Everything owned is named, including you-know-what-down-there. Meooww. Sometimes when my owner is not looking, I do take an aim at what-is-down there. *Cheeky cheeky*

Anyhow, in the animal kingdom, there has been a lot of hoo-ha going on about some live blogging event organized by Nuffnang. So Wussy the Pussy has been sent here to invade the human world for a while to investigate what the hell is all the fuss about. I mean, come on, I could have caught up on more sleep if it wasn’t for all the hype. Sheesh people. Initially, there was talk about sending my partner coz he’s bigger and fiercer. But on second thoughts, sending Stripesy the Tiger might not be such a good idea if he decides he does not like you and then gobbles you up for dinner.

Ok, now that you know I love sleeping (I’m Garfield’s cousin by the way, hence the similar sleeping pattern), I also enjoy reading the newspapers. It is good to keep yourself updated you know. And my favourite sleeping spot? No guessing here, by the newspapers itself!!

And not wanting to sound bias, I tend to fall asleep more on the News Straits Times because their entertainment section is almost nil. Zzzz…. I much prefer the Star Two of The Star especially NicoleKiss' column on The Star Metro but I almost never get to it until a lil later once I’m up from my NST doze off.

That's me Pussy the Wussy getting some shut eye by NST

So back to Nuffnang’s Wild Life Blogging, here’s what I’ll report. There will be human beings dressed up (trying very hard to impersonate us divine animal beings) as wild animals on 21st June in Modestos/Rain at Desa Sri Hartamas and they are going to blog live at the event. Sounds really interesting, I think I might even make an appearance! Yeah la, it gets tiring with just Stripesy the Tiger and newspapers for friends you know.

I’m feeling tired from all this hijacking already so I better chiow before Ohkulala spots me here. Off to take a nap now. Oh, visit Nuffnang’s website for more info. *click* Tata~

Not Your Average Super Hero

When I was thinking of super heroes this morning, the first thing that popped in my mind was Care Bears! Yes, that cartoon we all watched as kids and some while still in their diapers. They are the most adorable bears and I enjoyed every minute watching the show. And they sure made an impact; I still remember them vividly till today so that says something doesn’t it?

So while Superman and Batman combats evil with their underwear worn out, the Care Bears who lives in a city in the sky named Care-A-Lot, take a gentler, loving approach to things. Their job is to keep watch over the earth to keep bad feelings at bay. Whenever a kid is feeling down, they are there to help bring a smile to the child's face. They are alerted to problems by the Care-O-Meter. No violence is involved when it comes to warding off their enemies. What they do is to unite and use the Care Bear Stare to beam good energies at their enemies, such as No Heart, Professor Cold Heart, Shrieky, and Beastly. Non violence, now that’s something we should be teaching kids these days.

These cuddly, adorable bears made solid companions to me as I was growing up. Mum used these super heroes on TV to distract me from disturbing her while she cooks dinner. Smart technique huh. I think every kid should have a Care Bear with them. That way, no more being scared of what’s under the bed, the shadows lurking in the dark and walking alone in the middle of the night to the toilet to pee. It would be every parent’s wish come true. Yeah, Care Bears in reality would be awesome!!

There are 10 Care Bears in all. My favourite is Cheer Bear who bears the Rainbow symbol. If you want to know which Care Bear character resembles you, take the quiz *here*

The post is part of Nuffnang’s Exclusive Screening of Hancock. To win a free ticket, all you have to do is to write a blog entry titled ‘Not Your Average Super Hero’ and write about any super hero in reality would be. For more information, visit the website.
